Terms of use
Using the site
You may use the tools for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, without charge and without an account.
Your files are yours
Files you process never reach this site, so no rights in them pass to anyone. You are responsible for having the right to use the files you process and for what you do with the results.
Keep your originals
The tools are built and tested with care, and every privacy tool checks its own output. Software still has bugs. Keep the original of anything important until you have checked the result, and look at a cleaned or redacted file yourself before you rely on it.
In particular:
- A cleaned file can still reveal things through what is visible in it.
- A lost passphrase or password cannot be recovered by anyone, including us.
- Redaction removes what you mark. It cannot know what you forgot to mark.
No warranty
The site and tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site or from files produced with it.
Things you may not do
Do not use the tools to break the law, and do not try to disrupt the site or to make its sealed frame load code it should not.
The code
The site and its tools are ours. You may use them through this site; the code itself is not licensed for copying or reuse. The open-source libraries the tools are built on are listed on the licences page, each under its own licence.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page.
