What this does
Places each PNG on its own page and writes one PDF. Choose “Same as each picture” for a PDF whose pages are exactly the size of the screenshots, with no borders.
What it can’t do
Make the text in a screenshot selectable or searchable; a picture of text stays a picture.
A worked example
A support ticket wants the error as a document. Three screenshots of the error, the settings page and the log become one three-page PDF, each page the exact size of its screenshot.
Questions
- Will screenshots stay sharp?
- Yes. A PNG is placed in the PDF without being re-compressed, so text in a screenshot stays exactly as crisp as it was.
- What happens to a transparent background?
- The page behind it is white, so transparent areas appear white in the PDF.
- Can I mix PNG and JPG files?
- Yes. Add both kinds and each becomes a page.
Your file stays on this device
The tool above runs in a sealed frame that cannot send your file anywhere. It works with airplane mode on, and the counter above it stays at 0. Here is how you can check that yourself.
